Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American actor and singer is extremely popular. Her family was home-schooled by her mom and her father, in USA. Raised with racial insults, she was felt unloved. As she entered the 9th grade she felt more comfortable after she was applauded by her teachers when she sang at the school's audition. The experience not only boosted confidence in herself, but it also changed the direction she wanted to go in her career. She attended New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. When she turned 23 years old, she launched her professional career on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, when she was 23, her movie debut was You've Got Mail. The greatest accomplishment of her career occurred with her portrayal of The Lady of The Lake as Spamalot's initial Broadway production. In addition to being the only actress to receive the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by critics. The recognition grew even more for her appearance on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. In addition to being an acclaimed singer she released a solo and a longer piece. As an activist, she is a tireless advocate for LGBT equality.
